Before getting tox, filler or a Vampire procedure, Arnica is your best friend! Available at Amazon, Walgreens, etc, it helps prevent or lessen any bruising. Start taking it a few days before your procedure and for a few days after for best results. It’s also a good idea to avoid alcohol, aspirin, and NSAIDs for 24 hours prior to your appointment. This helps prevent bleeding and bruising as well
Please no makeup! We are going to cleanse and prep your face and makeup just gets in the way and makes a mess. There is the slight possibility that giving an injection through a bit of leftover makeup can leave a permanent spot as it is pushed into the skin! So arrived scrubbed and au naturel (face only…)
After receiving tox we have a four-hour window where we want to keep the tox calm, happy, and let it do its thing! Stay upright. Sitting is fine, but no laying down, bending over, exerting or sweating. This keeps everything in place and allows for proper absorption. Don’t touch your face! Avoid cosmetics. After that window closes, you can resume your normal activities, wash your face, etc. Continue to take your Arnica and place a cool pack on any swollen or bruised areas. Tylenol is best for any discomfort.
Remember that filler remains malleable for up to two weeks. During this time, be careful how you sleep and take care with applying any pressure to your lips/cheeks, etc. If you develop any lumps or bumps in the lips, gently massage them out. This is a normal occurrence and will usually correct itself as the filler spreads and sets in. As always, you can contact us at anytime with any questions or concerns. Your satisfaction and wellbeing are our top priority!!
